There are great opportunities at Rising Storm for budding artists and freelancers alike to engage in a groundbreaking project. RS is underwritten by Tripwire Interactive to pay the team on the back end and there will also be royalties if the release is as paid DLC.

All payment is back-end - this is not a standard free-lance arrangement.



Community/PR Manager

Good knowledge of games industry PR and website/social media management to maximise outreach of Rising Storm to HoS community and beyond.

The PR/Community manager will work with the producer to establish PR goals and to regularly keep our potential community growing with media updates/news interviews etc..

Requirements:

- Past experience of presenting a mod/game to the public

- Skills in CMS website administration

- Excellent written English

- Knowledge of games journalism

- Passion for WW2 shooters

- Understanding of role of scial media in PR/community development

- Work remotely at your location.

Expectations:

20 hrs+ per week and at least a six month commitment.

Compensation:

Based on sales of game.

QA Manager

 

Expert knowledge of managing a team of testers and feeding back to developers. Past experience of UDK/Unreal engine.

The QA manager will work with the producer to ensure that the beta testing sessions are as productive as possible and that developers follow up identified issues in an efficient manner.

Requirements:

- Good organisational skills

- Excellent communication in English (written and spoken)

- Knowledge of Redmine or similar

- Experience of Unreal engine issues and features

Expectations:

20 hrs+ per week and at least a six month commitment.

Compensation:

Beyond a baseline fund from TWI, based on sales of game.

Weapons Modeller

Expert knowledge of 3D modelling and texturing of weapons. Export to Unreal III game engine is required. Past experience of weapon creation for First Person Shooter games is highly desirable.

The 3D junior artist will work closely with the animation team in helping to bring to weapons to life. An eye for natural and realistic looking models is absolutely necessary as is the ability to work within engine-based constraints.

Requirements:

- Past experience working at a game studio or a Mod

- Skills in 3ds Max or Maya, for hardsurface modeling

- Photoshop skills for creation of textures (D, S, N)

- Experience of UVW-Unwrap and UV-Mapping to achieve optimal results

- Knowledge of the High- to Low-poly Bake

- Exporting Objects to the Unreal Engine III.

- Passion for first person shooter games, especially WWII era.

- Work remotely at your location. Must have a high end PC with current release of Maya / 3ds Max.

Expectations:

20 hrs+ per week and at least a six month commitment.

Environmental Props Modeller

Expert knowledge of 3D modelling and texturing of world objects. Export to Unreal III game engine is required. Past experience of props creation on First Person Shooter games is highly desirable.

The 3D junior artist will work closely with the Level Design team in helping to bring to life the game enviroment. An eye for natural and realistic looking models  absolutely necessary as is the ability to work within engine-based constraints.

Requirements:

- Past experience working at a game studio or a Mod

- Skills in 3ds Max or Maya, for hardsurface modeling

- Photoshop skills for creation of Vehicle Textures or Tiled Textures for bigger enviroment objects

- Experience of UVW-Unwrap and UV-Mapping to achieve optimal results

- Knowledge of the High- to Low-poly Bake

- Exporting Objects to the Unreal Engine III, including the creation of Lightmaps, LOD´s and Collision.

- Passion for first person shooter games, especially WWII era.

- Work remotely at your location. Must have a high end PC with current release of Maya / 3ds Max.

Character Animator

Senior Animator needed for the Rising Storm Animation Team.

Expert knowledge of Maya character animation, character rigging, export and modification to the Unreal III game engine is required. Past experience animating on other First Person Shooter games is highly desirable.

Animators will be responsible for the creation of first and third person animations of in game characters performing various activities, firing weapons and movement around the battlefield, vehicles and structures.

Requirements:
Past experience working at a game company
2 Years Experience Realistic Bi-Pedal Animation
2 Years Experience with Maya
2 Years Experience with Maya to Unreal III animation integration
Maya Rigging and Scripting experience a huge plus
Experience with 3DS Max animation also a huge plus
Passion for first person shooter games, especially WWII era.
Work remotely at your location. Must have a high end PC with a current release of Maya
Working knowledge of Unreal HumanIK is highly desireable.
